36 teenagers in Homabay Arrested in a house party, Packets Of unused condoms recovered

Homa Bay County police are currently holding 36 youths arrested during a burglary at a house in the Koweo area of ​​Rachuonyo East on Saturday night.

The children, aged between 12 and 17, were arrested in a campaign led by Assistant Chief Chief Kojwach Kawere Isaiah Ondoro and colleague Kojwach Kamyoro Fredrick Okeyo.

According to Mr Ondoro, they raided the house at 11pm and arrested eight girls and 28 boys and four others escaped after exiting the fence.

The principal said most of the youths were sitting for the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams while others were still in primary school.

Mr Ondoro said members of the public had been tipped off that the youths were having a party at the house with loud music that was causing havoc in neighboring homes.

During the raid, authorities found bottles of alcohol, two packets of unused condoms and two motorcycles allegedly used to take the minors to the party.

The children are being held at the Ringa police station.
