How to Confirm 2021 KCPE, KCSE Registration Details

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), has announced the process through which Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidates can confirm their registration details.

This comes just weeks after the council released a timetable for the two national examinations showing that KCSE is slated to begin on Monday, February 28, 2022, with orals in foreign languages and end on April 1, 2022 with Physics practicals.

KCPE, on the other hand, is slated to kick off on March 7, 2022 with a Mathematics paper and end March 9 with the Social Studies paper.

In a statement shared on Wednesday, September 15, KNEC directed all students and their teachers to confirm the candidates details via text messages.

The students can confirm their credentials by sending an SMS of the index number (Single Space)(Exam) to code 20076.

The exercise is expected to verify all students supposed to sit for the national examinations and include them in the budget.

While releasing the national examinations timetable, KNEC directed candidates to ensure that they arrive for the exams 15 minutes before start time of 8:30 am.

“A candidate who arrives late will be required to give a satisfactory reason to the Supervisor. Only in exceptional circumstances will a paper be given to any candidate who is more than half an hour late. Punctuality should be observed for all papers,” read the instructions for both KCSE and KCPE candidates.

On August 31, KNEC announced that it is looking for teachers to be trained on how to mark KCSE and KCPE examinations.

In a notice contained in the dailies, the council explained that the training was aimed at expanding its database for teachers to be considered during the marking of the 2021/2022 papers.

The exercise is expected to take place between Sunday, October 3, and Saturday, October 9, 2021.

The venue of the training and the mode in which the qualified teachers will use to pay the Ksh10,500 training fee will be issued after the application exercise is complete.
