Kipsigis Girls High School is the only girls’ school for girls, located on Litein-Kericho 5 Km from Kericho Town, Kericho County. The school was established in 1955 as an African Girls Boarding school with one line of classrooms. The number of students enrolled was one hundred and forty. Kipsigis Girls High School aims to prepare students to make a positive contribution to the development of society and to the values of patriotism, self-esteem, self-confidence, cooperation, adaptability, sense of purpose and self-discipline.
Kipsigis Girls High School is classified as a public high school and funded by the Kenyan government and run by a board of directors and parent and teacher organizations (PTA).

Applicants and parents should visit the school to get a receipt for their official results. The Department of Education advises parents, teachers and students to check the KCSE results slip to find any irregularities such as incorrect student name, school name and code and incorrect grade and report to KNEC within one month after the announcement.

History of Kipsigis Girls High School
Kipsigis Girls High School started in 1955 as the African Girls Boarding girls’ school with one class of classes. The number of students enrolled was one hundred and forty. In 1965, it was promoted to a high school with a total of 120 students.
In 1970, phase ‘A’ was introduced. The first category which was the only art category remained in EA. in 1971 and later expanded into two streams.
The art class did well until 1986, when the ‘A’ program ended. The 8-4-4 education program was then introduced and since then Kipsigis Girls High School continues to move in the direction of progress as can be seen in the steady growth in student enrollment and performance.
