Kenya National examination council being a key player in determining career of students decided to release the grading system to help teachers guide learners towards putting strength in various subjects and strike a balance inorder to improve performance of students .

2020/2021 will be the most awaited year for KCSE results. Education system was interrupted by Covid-19 compelling Education cabinet secretary Dr.Magoha to close schools indefinitely through a presidential order thereby putting learning into a hault for several months. Students have since been affected and taken time to re-adjust back to normalcy amid strict regulations of social distancing in class and wearing of masks . Nevertheless ,knec grading system is likely to be lowered this year inorder to obtain a normal performance curve to offset Corona virus pandemic effect .
