The Kenya Universities and College Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has slated second revision of courses for 2020 candidates who did not manage to secure places in university courses they selected in the first revision of courses on 22nd June 2021. Yesterday the KUCCPS CEO Agnes Wahome indicated that those students who will not manage to secure their prefered choices are invited for second revision.
The CEO indicated that the selection is competitive and some students who may have merited for certain courses may miss to be placed on them. She said this is because the system will align the students according to their cluster points and if a course let’s say is for medicine and surgery and the institution has a capacity of 100, the system will select the first 100 in order and the remaining students will have no option other than to be placed in other courses or go for second revision even if they merited in that course.
Sources have indicated that before the second revision begins tomorrow, 22nd june 2021, students will be able to know their placement results before the close of business tomorrow at 0000 hours. Therefore, those candidates who applied for placement will be able to check their placement results in the course of today and tomorrow before 0000 hours.
