This is a public school for boys boarding at Kisumu-Busia highway in Maseno, Kenya. It is one of the oldest high schools in Kenya. The school was founded in 1906 by the Missionaries of the Church Missionary Society as a school for children of African kings. The first students were six sins of African kings and this attracted some young men from Western Kenya. These students were taught to read and write, to print, to sew, to carve, to build, to write, and to write by telephone.

Near the school are Maseno University and Maseno Mission Hospital. The school is located on the Equator and there is part of the school in the north of the country and another in the south of the country.

Graduates of the school include Barack Obama snr, a former government economist and father of former US president Barack Obama, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, former Kenyan first vice president Thomas Risley Odhiambo, a former Kenyan pesticide specialist and environmental activist who specializes in research, development and research in Africa. J. Ombo, academic, geneticist, environmentalist and former UNEP Deputy Executive Director and Benjamin Ayimba, Kenya’s international rugby player and coach.

The school is known for excelling at home and national examinations. It was ranked 2nd nationally in the 2015 KCSE. The school has produced the 5th nationally leading student at the 2018 KCSE. Humphrey Rasugu scored 87.281 points. That same year, the school had 5 students among the top 100 KCSE students nationally.

Here, the choice of one form is often made with academic merit in relation to the KCPE exam. Students with high results and who have chosen a school as the first choice are given more priority than others. Students are also selected on a need basis based on the financial basis of the parents.
