Nairobi County on Tuesday announced 219 job opportunities for teachers who meet certain qualifications.
In a notice, the County Public Service Board asked all those who are interested in the job and eligible to submit their applications by Friday this week.
According to the board, those who will be selected for the job will get a basic salary between Ksh 25,470 and Ksh 33,950.
Apart from this, they will also be given a housing allowance of Ksh 6,750 and a commuter allowance of Ksh 4,000.
To be considered for the job, they must meet a number of qualifications which include; A Diploma in Early Childhood Development Education which must be offered by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) or an institution approved by the Ministry of Education.
Will also need to be registered by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and must have a certificate in computer proficiency and a certificate of good conduct.
They should also be clear with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
In matters relating to skills, candidates will need to possess communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and be a good problem solver.
They will be tasked with maintaining personal records of students, attending parent-child meetings, coordinating and supervising co-curricular activities, as well as providing parents/guardians with the child’s developmental progress, lesson notes and assignments. Advice will be given to prepare plans.
The board has asked eligible candidates to register on the Nairobi City County Public Service Board recruitment portal by issuing a password and email address.
They will also be required to provide information about their personal information, academic details, employment details, cover letters and testimonials.
