Secondary school principals in Kisii and Nyamira counties have been affected by the country’s continuous routine transfer of principals and other teachers.

Mr. Masiwo, the Chief Principal of Suneka High School, was recently transferred to Tom Mboya High School in Homabay County.

Mr. Pius Ngoma, Kisii County Director of Education, confirmed the transfer but did not name the moved Principal’s replacement.

Dr.Wara, the long-serving principal of Kebirigo High Institution in Nyamira County, was likewise transferred to an unnamed school.

He simply reacted in one sentence when approached.

The principal, who had just turned in the registration and nominal role of the 2022 KCSE candidate to the education offices for certification, wished the school well in maintaining the guiding performance he had established.

He left the school after guiding 311 students to university with straight entry grades, with the exception of one who received a C plain.

The results were calculated, with 13 pupils receiving A-, 107 receiving B+, 127 receiving B plain, 50 receiving B-, 13 receiving C+, and only one receiving C plain.

The school received a mean score of 9.2, which was two points higher than the results of the 2020 examinations.

Mr. Borniface Ouko, the Director of Education for Nyamira County, confirmed the move, calling it a routine and professional need that authorized the TCS, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, to execute the necessary changes.
