Shocking Revelation In One Of Kenya’s Giant School where Teachers Have Been Turned Into School Slaves

Teachers, non-teaching staff and students who do not bend to Mr Mukati’s arrogant terror whims are immediately subjected to unbridled wrath with all manner of crude and primitive forms of punishment

A major crisis is brewing at Bukhalalire High School, one of the leading and highly populated schools in Busia County, the school is located in the Butula sub-county. The school principal has been accused of being a terror towards his teaching, non-teaching staff and students.

The school principal Mr Didimus Mukati is also facing accusations of being arrogant, drunk with power and exhibiting elements of impunity, a total failure as an administrator who has turned the once highly respected high school into a personal money-making entity.

The Weekly Vision online’s investigative reporter confirmed that indeed Mukati “ is using Bukhalalire High School as a means of lining up his pockets, right from the award of tenders to friendly suppliers to new parents being charged some extra fee to get their children admitted into the institution all year round.”

The situation is so bad that last month under mysterious circumstances a dormitory named after the late former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan was set on fire burning students’ bedding’s and other personal effects, Mr Mukati declared and ordered the enforcement of secrecy on the whole incident

Teachers, non-teaching staff and students who fail to bend to his arrogant terror whims are immediately subjected to unbridled wrath, facing all manner of crude and primitive forms of punishment with no modicum of professionalism or humanity to boot, actions that translate him into a monster in charge of managing the more than 1000 nubile children he is supposed to nurture and mould into future leaders.

The school population confirmed all these ongoings and that they are living in fear and terror from a reckless, selfish, greedy and dangerous monster in the name of a principal. Mr Mukati has built the same reputation wherever he has been posted in the past, his performance here is adversely affecting the school’s performance in national examinations simply because they can’t operate and deliver under deadly terror.

Other emerging reports told our writer that the principal paraded a form three student before the entire school, accusing him of speaking Kiswahili at the institution as if that language is not the national language taught and spoken in schools right from primary to all public universities at the national level.

He forced the terrified student to kneel before the whole parade and declared him “Dangerous” for committing NO wrong at the school. The student was falsely accused of being a bhang smoker. He also forced his deputy and intimidated teachers to frame the student as having set fire on the Kofi Annan dormitory.

Mr Mukati also prevailed on other students to tell lies after a school prefect beat up a fellow student a resident of Nyundo dorm in the wee hour of the morning. This incident was confirmed by his classmates soon after the humiliating bhang smoking accusations, the prefect who beat up his classmate was instead protected by the principal, his deputy and worse vilified by subject teachers in Mukati’s pockets.

It’s said that the principal enjoys protection from powerful godfathers at the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) headquarters in Nairobi.
