These two National schools Received the highest Number of form one Admissions

Two big schools in the country topped yesterday during the release of form one placement results as having received the highest number of form one admissions.

Magoha did mention during the release that these schools will receive over 800 students in May 3rd. The two schools were St. Albert Ulanda Girls in Migori county and Sironga Girls High school in Nyamira county.

The CS lauded the principals of the duo institutions for creating more space to accommodate a large number of students that will boost the 100% transition.

Magoha stated that Ulanda Girls will receive 916 students while Sironga Girls will receive 816 students.

These two schools happen to have been established right after independence but they are doing well both environmentally, infrastructurally and even in terms of performance.

Sironga girls began in 1968 as a mixed school with a population of 62 students. In 2013 when the government was increasing the number of National schools in the region, Sironga was converted into a boarding girls school and given the National status.

The school boasts of very beautiful and modern infrastructure including the Kenyatta Science Complex, The Modern Dorms and multi-storey tuition blocks. In addition, the school is ongoing with the construction of a multi-purpose lecture theatre with collapsible walls that is estimated to have a capacity of 3000 persons.

Sironga Girls Science Complex( Chemistry, Biology and Physics Laboratories)

The two schools in the last two years has shown sterling performance in the region and even nationally. Sironga girls for example has posted very impressive mean scores with the school garnering a mean of 7.2 in 2019 and 8.2 in 2020.

St. Albert Ulanda began in 1967 and was recently designated as an extra county school during the government’s restructuring program for National schools in the nation.
