TSC Advertises Massive recruitment of 5000 Teaching Vacancies For July 2021

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced a plan to recruit and promote more than 10,000 teachers.

According to the teacher’s employer, 5,000 high school teachers and another 1,000 primary school teachers will be fully employed.

TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Njeri Macharia said more teachers would support government policy with a 100 per cent shift from students to primary schools.

While reading the 2021/2022 budget, Cabinet Treasury Secretary Ukur Yatani revealed that the government had set aside Sh2.5 billion to hire new teachers.

At the same time, 2,987 teachers are being replaced by high school graduates who are naturally active and retired.

Only 927 teachers will be hired to replace those who leave the main teaching service.
