TSC Promotion Letters Are Out! How to Obtain Your Promotion Letter

TSC promotion letters for all candidates for the December 2020 and February 2021 TSC Promotion interviews have been released, as confirmed by TSC CEO Nancy Macharia. The successful candidates will remain in their current stationsor move to other new stations.
Many teachers from different regions have received their promotion letters. According to Macharia media, all teachers who participated in the interviews will receive their promotion letters. What is not specified by the chief executive is the type of letters sent. Some educators have expressed fears that some of the letters may not be for promotions but they might be regret letters. However, TSC sources pointed out that most of the teachers who attended the interviews have been promoted and had to wait for their letters.
Most of the teachers who received their promotion letters were retained in their current stations, where only a few were transferred to other institutions. At first, there were fears of mass transfer due to promotions.
The deadline for almost all the letters reviewed by our team is 2 March 2021. This means that the salaries of promoted teachers will be backdated to March 2021.
Those who have not yet received their letters should check the school post office or ask their principals. In the event that these letters do not reach the principals, then teachers are advised to collect their letters from their TSC county directors.
The duties and responsibilities of newly promoted educators will be guided by the provisions of the Teachers’ Service Commission Act (2012), the Code of Conduct for Teachers (2015), the Code of Conduct for Teachers (2015), Career Guidelines for educators (2018) and any other legal instruments, policies and administrative circulars issued by the commission from time to time.
